ACACIA NEWS

The Acacia 3’s are learning all about their bodies and how to look after them on the inside and outside.   We’ve created a dramatic play space in our room with dolls as the patients.  We’ve been diagnosing what’s wrong with them and making them feel better. We’ve talked about respecting our bodies and the personal space of other people and how we are the boss of our own bodies.  We’ve also been creating stories about people who are injured which have been really dramatic at times.  The children have created a person who then becomes injured and needs to be patched up with Bandaids.  This has provided an opportunity for the children to extend their language and literacy skills as they dictate the story for adults to write down.
