Treasure Hunt Book Week Performance

On Friday, the Prep and Grade 1/2 students attended a show by Perform Education. ‘Treasure Hunt’ is a story that is inspired by several of this year’s CBCA shortlisted books. It was an exciting, fun and hilarious performance that received great feedback from the students. They were all very keen to have them come back and perform again next year! We are all very excited for our Book Week celebration next week.

Carlon FC AFLW Visit

On Wednesday, Carlton FC AFLW players visited our school to host an engaging Q&A session with the Year 3/4 students. They shared insights into their training programs, explaining the dedication and discipline required to perform at an elite level. The players also discussed how they manage priorities, balancing sport, work, study, and personal life. A key focus of the conversation was resilience, with the players sharing personal stories about overcoming challenges and staying motivated. Students left inspired, gaining valuable lessons about hard work, determination, and maintaining a positive mindset both on and off the field.

Basketball Clinics

Last week, the Collingwood All Stars Basketball Club ran exciting clinics for all students, helping them develop their skills through fun drills and games. Thank you to Ben for organising them to come out.

Attitudes to School Survey Data

At the end of last term, students in Years 4-6 participated in the Attitudes to School Survey, providing valuable insights into their school experiences. This data is highly valued and regularly used to set goals that support the learning and wellbeing of our students. We were delighted with this year’s results, with the completion of the building project and improvements to the playground contributing to our students’ happiness at school.

School Council Sub-Committees

The Policy and Curriculum, as well as the Community Engagement sub-committees, are currently looking for parent or carers to join their teams. These sub-committees play an important role in shaping different aspects of school life and are a great way to get involved in the FNPS community. Joining a sub-committee is a meaningful way to contribute without the larger time commitment required for School Council—plus, it’s a great way to connect with other families and staff. FNPS Social Club Movie Night - a free event
