Enrolling at Green Valley Public School

Our school welcomes enrolments throughout the school year. Enrol today or talk to us to find out how your child can join our school.

Local Area Enrolment

Check your address on School Finder to see if it is within our local intake area. Most schools have designated local enrolment areas. Note: local enrolment areas are subject to change.

How to enrol

If you live in our intake area and would like to apply to enrol at our school, start by submitting an online enrolment application. Online enrolment is currently only available for Australian or New Zealand citizens and permanent residents.

Online enrolment can also be used for out-of-area enrolment. Please note that out-of-area enrolment procedures are subject to the department’s enrolment policy.

Driving and parking

The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.

When driving and parking near our school, please:

  • ensure you park safely in school zones.
  • follow kiss and drop signs and speed and parking signs.
  • do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school.
  • make sure that you and your family use the supervised pedestrian crossing.
  • do not queue across the school carpark gates or private driveways.

Parking on school grounds

Please note that there is no parking available on school grounds. Parents, carers, and visitors are kindly asked to use street parking in the surrounding streets.

If you require parking on school grounds due to special circumstances, please contact us for further assistance.

 

Bell Times

Please see the changed bell times below regarding eating and play times, as you can see the students now play before they eat at both lunch and recess. 

The morning bell is 8:55 am, if your child arrives at school after 9:00 am they will need to come into the office and collect a late pass and be entered into Sentral Attendance 

If they do not come into the office, they will not be marked in attendance and you will receive a notification, if you receive a notification, you should call the school to confirm that your child is in attendance.

The Afternoon bell is at 2:55 pm, the pedestrian gate will be opened Daily at 2:50 pm daily for parents/carers to come in to pick up their child.

If you need to come to the school throughout the day for any reason, you can enter via the pedestrian gate and you must attend the office before proceeding into the school, except if you are attending a school assembly in which case you can continue down to the hall.
