As you all know, I do love a dress up and I do love the special teaching and learning opportunities that our students experience here at St Mary's.

Rapidly approaching is Science Week and Book Week! 

Just a reminder that we have a number of amaing workshops organised for Science Day on Wednesday 19 September. If you are free (and completed the Volunteer Training) and would like to be a parent helper - please reach out to me at ohodgetts@smascotvale.atholic.edu.au

LITERACY: Around the Grounds Literature Edition

Do you want to know what is happening in English at the moment? All the year Levels are hard at work reading quality books to engage our students in reading adn writing!

Foundation: Book Week texts

Year One: Fables, Dreamtime Stories and Australian Animals

Year Two: The Stone Lion, Under the Southern Cross, Australian States and Territories

Year Three: Charlotte's web Novel Study

Year Four: The Wild Robot Novel Study

Year Five: The One and Only Ivaan Novel Study

Year Six: Holes Novel Study

The Years 4-6 students are working on a strategy to respond to texts using evidence to support their thinking.  This strategy is called RACE.
