We thank you God for the gift of life.
May our lives always be a sign of love, compassion and kindness.
May we use our gifts to help others to feel welcomed and loved.
May we never pass by someone in need without lending a helping hand.
May we spread love, laughter and friendship through our words, actions
and thoughts.
May we stand up for those who are treated unfairly.
May we be MSC people – people of heart who reach out to others in need.
And may our lives be a reflection of the loving heart of Jesus.
Sacred Heart of Jesus I place my trust in you… Forever!
May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be everywhere loved.
Forever!
Our Lady of the Sacred Heart.
Pray for us.
Last Monday, our Year 7 cohort gathered at HIRL in Hamilton for their first Reflection Day at Monivae College. Grounded in the core values of our MSC charism, the activities encouraged students to delve into the meaning of love, compassion, and kindness—principles that sit at the very centre of life in our MSC Monivae community.

During the sessions, students paused to contemplate their current identities and who they aspire to become in the years ahead. In one especially meaningful activity, they penned personal letters to their future Year 12 selves, packing them with encouragement, goals, and dreams for their secondary school journey.

The energy remained high with a lively game of Celebrity Heads, which turned out to be an absolute highlight of the day. This fun activity sparked lots of laughter, brought out plenty of smiles, and gave everyone an opportunity to enjoy each other's company in a relaxed way.
Most importantly, the day gave our Year 7s a wonderful opportunity to unite as a cohort.
Thank you to the following staff for their enthusiasm and support on the day:
Our college community is eagerly anticipating our annual celebration of Sacred Heart Day (the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus). This special day honors the legacy of Father Jules Chevalier, who founded the Society of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC) in France in 1854. Father Jules firmly believed that God's love was the remedy for the world's problems—a message that is just as relevant today as it was then.

Embracing this year's theme, Lead with Love, we will wrap up the final day of Term 2 with a fantastic lineup of events:
This day is a beautiful time for us to reflect on and celebrate all the diverse ways that each of us can be the heart of God on earth.
