From the Executive Principal's Desk

As we come to the end of another significant year in the life of our College, I am sure we are all looking forward to a time of rest and refreshment as we reflect and meditate on the significance of Christmas and what God has done for us in sending His one and only Son to dwell among us.

The very first line in our Vision statement is Growing in Christ. As I have said before, this is first because it’s the most important part of the College’s vision. Without being “in Christ”, we miss the central message of God’s big story for all His creation.

As we look back on the year and the myriad of activities, learning experiences and growth opportunities, I believe it is important to do so with a clear acknowledgment of God’s presence within all those experiences. When we clearly see God guiding us and journeying alongside us, it makes us all the more likely to trust in Him as we head forward into the unknown experiences that lie before us.

Often, the uncertainty of the future can seem a bit like trying to look through and beyond a cloud in front of us. It can be stressful and cause us to worry about unknown trials that might lie ahead and cause fear. But when we remember what God has brought us through in the past, even in challenging times that may have been difficult, we can always see how He was with us all along and accompanied us to the other side. Knowing God is with us now can help us as we prepare for the inevitable challenges in front of us.

When we picture a future in which Jesus is involved in everything we do, we can walk in confidence and be sure that we will continue to always be Guided by His Light.

As we end the year together, I would like to thank every member of our College community for the part they have played in making Christway College a truly inspiring place to learn.

Emmanuel (God with us)!

Grace and Peace
