Year 6 Transition Workshop: Building Confidence for Year 7

On Thursday, 31st October, we welcomed Kate and Isabelle from Mindful Mushkins to lead a special workshop on transitioning to Year 7. The session focused on building self-confidence and fostering positivity for the exciting future that awaits our Year 6 students. It was a safe space where some students, feeling nervous, openly shared their emotions and asked for guidance on handling the changes ahead.

A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Brickwood and Ms. Ristrom for their support, and to our Year 6 students for their honesty and bravery. We are so proud of these wonderful young people as they prepare for this new chapter in their lives!

SRC/Student Voice Group: School Improvements Update

In our latest SRC/Student Voice Group session, we focused on addressing school improvements raised by our students. Thanks to their input, we’ve made several upgrades around the school, including:

  • Installing brand new backboards with new rings and chains for the top basketball court
  • Securing the soccer net with clips to prevent balls from passing through
  • Ordering new pole protectors for 2025
  • Assessing and adjusting the pressure on the drinking taps

I’m very proud of the group for their active involvement, as their perspective often highlights areas that might otherwise go unnoticed. Listening to our students ensures we’re continuously making our school a better place for everyone!
