Principal's News
Dear families,
We only have a few weeks to go, and things are as busy as always. Students are working hard preparing for Light Up Leeton this Sunday night. We can’t wait to see our students and their families as they come together to support the community. Thank you again to our P&C as they spin the fairy floss and salt the popcorn.
A very big thank you to the families who have brought in gifts for us to take to the Wagga Base hospital children’s ward. Year 6 will be delivering them before they head off for their special day next week. We still have space to take more gifts over, please deliver them to the front office and we will wrap them and attach a gift tag.
Year 6 have now all completed their transition to High School days and with them heading in three different directions, we wish them the very best. They have chosen to have a day together at Vortex in Wagga and invite year 5 to join them for an evening meal on Thursday next week.
Last week every student in Year 5 shared with the school community as to why they would make an excellent school leader. Their speeches were amazing and even though we can only pick two leaders, each of them should hold their heads high as they demonstrated what is great about YPS. The results will be shared with the community on Presentation Day.
Transition to School Program
This week our transition students finish preparing for their formal start to school next year. They are already an asset to the school and are ready to shine. Uniforms will be ready for trying on at the office both before and after transition.
Uniforms
If you are looking to purchase uniforms for next year, we have most sizes in stock. If you have uniforms that are in good condition and are just too small, we would love to be able to rebuild our emergency stock and also offer extras as part of a second hand clothing pool.
Thank you
Mrs Taylor
