"Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person." (Colossians 4:6)
Throughout this term, SY students have had the opportunity to apply for leadership roles for 2025. Over the last couple of weeks, our College Captains have been interviewing various candidates for roles for next year. Key to good leadership is good communication - the ability to exchange information and to express ideas. Key characteristics of good communication include:
I have been very impressed by the communication skills of our prospective leaders for 2025 who have exhibited all of these qualities of communication. These characteristics can be developed by everyone, whether you are in a formal leadership role or not.

It is with pleasure we announce our 2025 College Captains:
Gracy Singh and Milan Gurung (Captains)
Prisha Nayak and Aaron Gustav (Vice-Captains)
The captains, along with all 2025 student leaders will be installed into their role of leaders at the beginning of next year.
Prospective leaders have been participating in group interviews over the last week as part of the selection process for student leadership roles.
A group interview is when all people who have applied for a role attend the interview together. It gives us a chance to see how people communicate in group settings, and how they work as part of a team.
It has been great to see many of our students exhibiting excellent communication skills - whether it be expressing ideas or actively listening to each other.
