From the Deputy Principal

Mr Anthony Speranza

Dear families,

Thank you to Olive and Pia in Year 6, our Faith & Social Justice Leaders who with Mrs Mensen organised and ran a moving Remembrance Day Liturgy for the school on the 11th of November.

Thank you also to some special visitors in Year 1 this week, who came down to see Mrs Ferrari and myself to share their work with us about Responsible Pet Ownership. They all worked very hard during the writing lesson to produce a wonderful piece of writing.

Walk, ride or scoot to school in the month of November

The weather has been mild and warm recently and very suitable for actively travelling to and from school. It’s been great to see an increase in the use of bikes and scooters. Each morning when arriving into class, students are encouraged to track on a chart the days where they have been able to actively travel to and from school. We hope that this tracking assists with building new habits and routines.

Please remember that part of the way is okay! If you can’t walk the whole way, try parking the car a few blocks from the school and walk, ride or scoot the rest.

Celebrating our Musical Talents

Yesterday we had the privilege and delight of watching our students who learn a musical instrument with Ian from Music Corp. We enjoyed so many instruments and pieces being played. It was great to see the continuum from students beginning their musical journey to students who recently sat a musical exam.  Our audience was amazingly respectful and supportive.
