Literacy: Jolly Spelling: Year 2 sound focus this week is: ear = air. The Year 3 sound focus this week is: air, are, ear, ere. Below are the two lists of words we will be using at school to practice the sounds with.

Learning this week:
Writer’s Workshop: We will spend the remaining weeks this year working on our editing skills and creating a piece of writing for our next teacher to receive.
Mathematics: We will finish the year building our mental computation skills and revisiting mathematical concepts taught earlier in the year.
Unit of Inquiry: We will continue exploring our final unit of inquiry this week: How We Organise Ourselves with a focus on ‘Changing Communities’.

Carols Evening – The annual schools carols evening is being held on Friday, Week 7 (29th November). Please save the date. More information is on its way.
U8 Basketball – We are looking for some more female players for our Super Novas Basketball Team. They train on Mondays after school usually with games on Saturdays at local venues.
