Glen Education Family is Growing – Welcoming Oakleigh South Kindergarten
We are excited to announce that Glen Education will be opening a brand-new kindergarten service at the Oakleigh South Child and Family Hub in Monash, starting Term 1, 2025. This will be our second service in Monash, expanding our early childhood education offerings to even more children and families.
The Glen Oakleigh South Kindergarten is part of a purpose-built hub designed to provide an ideal environment for children to learn and grow. In addition to two modern kindergarten rooms, the hub will house Oakleigh South Maternal and Child Health services, the Oakleigh South Girl Guides, and a multipurpose space for local community groups.
Located on North Road and backing onto a beautiful park, it offers a perfect blend of indoor and outdoor learning experiences. Each room has the capacity for 33 children, allowing us to provide high-quality, play-based education to families in the Monash community.
At Glen Education, we believe play is a crucial foundation for learning. Our program is designed to inspire curiosity and foster development through thoughtfully curated indoor and outdoor activities that promote each child’s learning and well-being.
Glen Education Family is Growing some more – Welcoming Glen Rowen St Kindergarten
We are excited to announce that Rowen St Kindergarten will be joining the Glen Education community in 2025. Located in Glen Iris, City of Boroondara, this will be our first service in this local government area.
We look forward to embarking on this exciting journey with Rowen St Kindergarten, as we continue to deliver exceptional teaching and high-quality programs.
We look forward to welcoming both Oakleigh South and Rowen St Kindergartens to the Glen Education family, growing our network to 23 services.

Celebrating Children's Week 2024 at Glen Education.
This year’s theme was both meaningful and relevant:
“Children have the right to a clean and safe environment.”
Inspired by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of a Child (Article 24), this dedicated week highlights the importance of a healthy environment for children’s growth and happiness. Every child deserves access to clean water, nutritious food, and safe spaces to thrive.
At Glen Education, we fully embrace this theme by encouraging our children, families, and educators to reflect on how we can all contribute to a cleaner, safer world.
Here are some questions we asked this week:
For educators: How can we involve children in creating clean and safe environments, both in our kindergartens and in the wider world?
For children: What does a clean, safe environment look like? How can we ensure our kindergartens remains a safe space for everyone—plants, animals, and people alike?
Children’s Week was also an exciting opportunity to explore activities in the local community with many events hosted by local councils:
At Glen Education, Growing People is at the heart of what we do. Children's Week 2024 theme aligns perfectly with our mission to help children become thoughtful, caring global citizens, aware of their role in protecting the world around them.
In today’s fast-paced world, the value of play can sometimes be overlooked. Play builds creativity, problem-solving skills, social interaction, and resilience. It’s through unstructured play that children learn to navigate the world, fostering independence and emotional growth.
At Glen Education, we fully embrace the importance of play in our educational programs. We believe in nurturing each child’s potential through experiences that encourage curiosity, exploration, and imagination. Play is not a break from learning; it is learning.
Glen Education continues to advocate for play-based learning, ensuring that our children grow through joyful discovery and meaningful interactions.
