Mission Day 2024

Thank you to all the teachers and students at St Francis Xavier for taking part in our mufti day and lolly guessing competition. The students understood the significance of World Missions and its importance in being a witness of Christ. It was a great success and we raised $699 which has been donated to Caritas Australia and the Charitable Works Fund.

Thank you to our SFX community for living out our school motto - Serviam.

Remembrance Day - Monday 11th November

On the 11th of November 1918 at 11am, the signing of the peace agreement ended World War One. Next Monday 11th November is Remembrance Day, a day when we not only commemorate those who fell in the Great War but all of the brave men and women who have given their lives for the freedoms that we have today. This day is for us to memorialise those who sacrificed their lives and to be thankful for the peace that we now enjoy.

As the Lord commanded the apostles to “Do this in memory of me”, we gather this day to pray for the great sacrifices of the fallen. On Monday at 11am, the students in Year 6 will be leading us in a prayer service to honour the memory of those who served and to collectively join together saying ‘We will remember them.’
