Principal's News

Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been wonderful to be back in the community after my leave at the beginning of this term. Classrooms are a hive of activity as teachers are assessing students in preparation for writing reports in the coming weeks.

The children continue to enjoy the new playground and many students are benefiting in using the new building for Amadeus lessons, Peaceful Kids and enrichment classes.  

Since my return, I have been overwhelmed by the generosity of families as we prepare for our fun run. At the time of release, our families have raised $28000 of which $16000 will go to school funds. All monies raised will go to the replacement of the old AstroTurf on the primary playground which is over 20 years old. This is my dream for the children in the picture below.  

On Wednesday night we welcomed the families of our  61 new students to St Francis Xavier. It was a pleasure for the leadership team and I to share the mission, vision and pedagogy of St Francis Xavier. The night was very successful with superb feedback and we look forward to the 43 new families joining our great school community along with our 18 siblings.

Friday will see our second Kindergarten 2025 parent information session where families will hear more about the practical side of school.  Our new kindergarten students will also get to see the mini farm and meet their buddies. 

Staffing News 

I am delighted to announce Mrs Maryse Rodrigo as our new Year 1 teacher.  Maryse will also be part of the leadership team as Coordinator 3.  She is a highly experienced teacher and leader and will be an asset to the St Francis Xavier team.  Maryse will commence working here officially in January.
