Principal's Report

It is wonderful to welcome our students and families back for another exciting school term. I am incredibly grateful to have returned to Rosanna Golf Links Primary School and to once again be part of the daily life of our school.

Walking through the classrooms, I have felt somewhat like a celebrity, with students calling out, waving and expressing how pleased they are to see me. Their excitement has made my return incredibly special. The joy our students bring to our school culture and to their learning is one of the many reasons I love my job so much. Thank you to our entire community for welcoming me back so warmly and graciously.

I would also like to sincerely thank Nick, Cathie and the whole team at Golf Links for the magnificent job they did during my absence. Their leadership, care and commitment ensured that our school continued to thrive, and I am deeply appreciative of everything they have done.

There is so much to look forward to this term, including interschool sport and other sporting events, our school production, three-way conferences and a special 100 Days of School celebration for our Year 6 students, whose Prep celebration was interrupted by COVID.

It promises to be another busy and rewarding term.

Save the Date - Book Week Parade!

Book Week is just around the corner, and we’re thrilled to be celebrating with our much-loved Book Character Parade Assembly on Wednesday 26th August at 9:00am. Students are invited to come dressed as their favourite book character in line with this year’s theme, “Symphony of Stories”

We warmly encourage parents and carers to join us for the fun. This is always one of the most magical days on the school calendar, and I can’t wait to see the creativity and joy our students bring to the day!

Bikes and Scooters in the School Yard

A friendly reminder that, for the safety of everyone in our school community, bikes and scooters must not be ridden within the school grounds.

Drop-off and pick-up times are particularly busy, with many families, young children and animals moving through the yard. Riding bikes or scooters in these crowded spaces can create a risk of collisions and injury.

We kindly ask that all students dismount at the school gate and walk their bike or scooter carefully through the school grounds. Thank you for helping us keep our yard safe and welcoming for everyone.

Student Supervision and Digital Devices

A reminder to all families that staff supervision of students is provided from 8:45 am until 3:45 pm each school day.

Students should not arrive at school before 8:45 am unless they are attending before-school care. When children are in the playground before supervision begins, there are no staff available to respond immediately to accidents, injuries, disagreements or unexpected situations. Playground equipment and busy school grounds can present risks when students are unsupervised, so we ask families to ensure children remain in their care until 8:45 am.

Families are also reminded that students must hand all mobile phones and digital devices, including smart watches, into the school office before the school day begins. Devices can then be collected from the office after school.

These arrangements help us maintain a safe, focused and respectful learning environment for every student. Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation.
