Endeavour House News

As I reflect on Term Three, I'm so proud of how far the girls have all come. There is a sense of normality and comfort in the house, especially in terms of boarding routines and rituals. The weeks have been ticking along and excitement builds as we head towards the final term of the year.

The wrapping up of the winter sport season has dominated the last few weeks and the girls have done an amazing job of trying their best and looking after themselves. There have been some very sore muscles and a few injuries to nurse along the way – but we made it!  Well done to all the girls and bring on the basketball season!

At various points this term, each person has had to navigate a variety of challenges. For some, these may have included academic and/or boarding pressure points, social occasions, sporting commitments, friendships and health-related concerns. It has been fascinating to see how each individual student tackles these things, in their own way. Of course, there are some things that all of us are working on, but I find, the more open-minded, reflective and communicative we are, the quicker we bounce back from challenges and grow.

Women in Farming

I felt very proud to travel to Pingelly last week and represent GSG at ‘Finding your Place’ Women in Farming 2023 Annual Seminar hosted by Dryandra Branch. It was inspiring to be surrounded by people connecting with peers, sharing stories and learning from others. I take my hat off to all women navigating the challenges of farming, family business, parenting, and careers – both on and off farm. It was also great to catch up with a few GSG friends and parents during the day.

Birthdays

Our birthdays for this month are Lily Hall who celebrated in early September and Grace and Lucy Bailey who have their birthday this week.  Happy birthday girls.

All the best for a safe and happy holiday
