Inquiry

The Inquiry unit for this term is Economic Understanding. This ties in with Fun Fair and provides some real world experiences and situations for them to learn practical skills. These may include:

• Describing the difference between needs and wants and explaining why choices need to be made.
• Exploring the concept of opportunity cost and explaining how it involves choices about the alternative use of limited resources and the need to consider trade-offs
• Identifying influences on consumer choices and exploring strategies that can be used to help make informed personal consumer and financial choices
• Identifying the reasons businesses exist and investigating the different ways they produce and distribute goods and services
• Investigating the nature and explaining the importance of enterprising behaviours and capabilities
