LITTLE ADVENTURERS
Sensory play is an important part of the Pre-Kindy Little Adventurers Programme. It is through their senses that young children learn about the world around them as their brains and bodies work together to make discoveries and build important connections in the brain.
As the weather is warming up, the Pre-Kindy children have especially enjoyed playing with water and ice. We have been talking about how it feels and observing changes such as what happens to the ice as we play with it and what happens when we add water to sand.
We have also been engaging our senses through art activities which encourage the children to experiment and explore as they create. Sometimes the focus is on simply enjoying the creative process, while at other times, the children are supported to develop their observational skills.
