TALK MONEY INCURSION

The Year 5’s listened to a guest speaker this week who focussed on financial education. The students were given the opportunity to learn key money skills, gain confidence when making financial decisions and to think about their financial future. They were introduced to the importance of discussing money and what can be done with it, including saving, spending and donating. This was a great follow up to our Term 3 Economics Unit. The second part of the presentation will be taking place in two weeks on the 18th October.

TERM 4 HATS

Thanks you to all of the students who remembered that Term 4 means wearing hats during break times in compulsory. Even though it has been a bit over cast this week, it is still important to ensure your child has their school hat to wear while they are at school. Thanks for your support!

DISTRICT ATHLETICS

Congratulations to the students who represented the school at Monday’s District athletics carnival. We were extremely proud of the efforts of all of the students and the way they displayed determination, sportsmanship and resilience as they competed in a variety of events. After a closely contested day, Vermont placed second out of eight schools in our district. Well done to everyone involved!

REQUESTS FOR 2024 CLASSES

As we are moving closer to the end of 2023, we are beginning preparations for 2024. Each year, parents are given the opportunity to make a request for consideration in regard to their child's placement. Please note, this is a request only, and must relate to the social and emotional wellbeing of your child. It is not an opportunity to request a specific teacher. All teachers strive to cater for the academic needs of each child. As you would appreciate, large amounts of time and effort go into the creation of future classes, with students being placed in classes that the teachers feel would be best for their development. If you wish to submit a request for consideration, please contact Ryan Condron no later than October 13th.
