It was wonderful to see the smiling faces of the students as they entered the classrooms on Monday morning. We look forward to continuing to support your child to learn, grow and enjoy learning in this final term of 2023. This term is set to be a another busy one with Footsteps dance lessons, Indonesian Day and many other celebrations happening!

Hats
All students are required to wear hats at playtime this term. Please ensure your child has a hat that is clearly named. Students without hats will be required to stay in the shade of the Shelter Shed at playtimes as we are a SunSmart school.
Year 1 Inquiry
As part of the Year 1 Water Inquiry, students will be creating a diorama. Can all Year 1 students please bring a shoe box to school by Monday the 23rd of October.
Fooststeps
As you would already be aware the F-2 students are participating in the Footsteps dance program during weeks 3 to 6. The payment is open in Qkr and due by Monday 9th October.
Year 2 Maths
This week Year 2 students have been exploring common uses of fractions. Students worked to separate playdough into exact halves and quarters by measuring its mass. They used measuring cups to fill 4 plastics cups with given fractions (1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 3/4). Furry friends helped students role play sharing situations. The objects needed to be divided fairly and everyone needed to have an equal fraction of the total collection.
