Referendum Day Sausage Sizzle & Cake Stall

Referendum Day Sausage Sizzle & Cake Stall

With the Referendum scheduled for Saturday 14 October and the FPS gym a polling centre, it’s time to pull out our gas bottles and fire up the BBQs to sizzle ‘democracy sausages’ and serve sweet treats to the voting community.

Help on the DayIf you can spare some time to turn sausages and dispense tomato sauce, sell cupcakes, and take payment, we'd love to have your help!

  • Volunteers needed from 8am – 3pm
  • If you can spare an hour (to two!) please sign up.
  • BYO apron!

Love Baking? Support the Cake Stall

If turning sausages isn’t your thing, but you’re a wizard with biscuits, cupcakes, or brownies, we’d love you to bake for us.

There are a few baking requirements:

  • No nuts
  • No cream or uncooked eggs as refrigeration is not available.

Baking Ideas and Packaging

Our preference is for items that can be sold individually – cupcakes, biscuits, slices (cut into sections), brownies, etc. If you bake this type of item, please package it in a named Tupperware container including your child’s class/teacher, which will be returned to you post-event.

If you would like to bake a cake, loaf, or other ‘whole item’, please collect a biodegradable cardboard cake box from the main school office.

Labels and Drop Off

All baked goods need to be labelled – with the name of the item (front) and the ingredients (back).

Please deliver your baked goods to the stall on Referendum Day, between 8 – 9am.

If you need to make an alternate drop-off arrangement, please contact the stall organisers directly – Emily (0412 120 015) and Regan (0417 142 339).

Funds Raised

All funds raised from this event will support the development and implementation of the school’s Reconciliation Action Plan.

A big thank you to Aldi for donating the sausages/bread/onions/tomato sauce!
