2024 State Schools Spectacular 

Next year it is possible our school will enable a group of interested Year 5 /6 students to participate in the Victorian State Schools Spectacular mass choir. The Victorian Spectacular is a huge musical production performed at the Melbourne Tennis Centre involving thousands of students.  Every single student who has participated before has ADORED the experience and wanted more!

The selected group will be taught the required singing at school but will have three excursions to rehearsals (two in Melbourne) and will stay at a school in Melbourne with our Staff for two nights (12 and 13 September 2024 with the show on 14 September 2024). For all of this transport and food at the ‘sleep over’ there will be a cost to families (approx. $200) but we will fund raise to keep costs lower.

Registration for solo performers:

Musicians must select "Student Video Audition". There are currently no live audition appointments available for musicians. 

In my experience of helping soloists I have seen capable musicians, dancers and singers accepted. We have had three students from Kyabram succeed in the past 20 years. Four other students have joined the Victorian State level Choir through State Schools Spectacular and gained the most amazing tuition and experience. I encourage anyone to ‘have a go’ and remind families there is a major commitment to attending weekly rehearsals in Melbourne.
