Social Media Warning
As tension continues to escalate on the Israel-Lebanon border, parents in Australia urged to protect children from potential war imagery circulating on social media.
We all need to be extremely vigilant in preventing our children from hearing and viewing the horrific scenes that are coming through the television in our lounge and through other devices that our children have access to.
As parents/ carers, we advise you to be conscious of where and how children receive information and as much as possible, protect them from distressing images. Please encourage your child to talk to you or another safe adult if they see or hear something that doesn't feel okay.
Parenting Tip from
I Can Cope with Sadness
I think we can all agree that there's nothing quite as heart-wrenching as seeing our children being sad.
We are wired to protect, nurture, and ensure our children's happiness, so when they experience sadness, it hits us hard.
This week’s printable, I Can Cope With Sadness is all about helping name and honour feelings of sadness and brainstorm healthy ways to cope.
The first page is for your child and the second page is a supportive tool for you.
