Principal's Message

From the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

Today  we held an activity day focussed on our specialist classes; Italian, Library, Physical Education and Performing Arts. The children thoroughly enjoyed the variety of activities on offer. In the afternoon children enjoyed a performance by 'The Playground Craze', The performance included cool pop music and fun theatre to engage students with important social-emotional skills and values. To complete the day the children enjoyed a hot dog lunch prepared by a number of our parent volunteers. Thanks so much to Melissa Fornaro for coordinating today's special lunch.

Friday Assembly

At tomorrow's assembly, classes will be presenting a small performance learnt in Performing Arts. There will be no awards at tomorrow's assembly as the Performing Arts presentations will take up a bit of our time. As always, parents and grandparents are most welcome to join us.

The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden continues tomorrow with Prep and 5/6G enjoying  time in the kitchen; preparing, cooking and enjoying produce from our garden. We are still after a few helpers in each of the sessions. If you are able to assist, please come along.

SUPER GARDENERS!! THANK YOU

Last Friday we were very fortunate to have workers from IFM Investors Melbourne volunteer their day to work in our school gardens, weeding and moving  a huge amount of mulch onto our garden beds. I am very grateful to all of them for committing their community day to work at our school. A special thanks to Jess Brown, who works at IFM Investors and encouraged her colleagues to assist at our school.

REMEMBRANCE DAY

On Saturday 11th November, we remember with thanksgiving those who made the supreme sacrifice in time of war. We pray that the offering of their lives may not have been in vain. We continue to dedicate ourselves to the cause of justice, freedom and peace; and for the wisdom and strength to build a better world.

A Remembrance Day service will be held in the school courtyard on Friday from 10:50am.  Parents are most welcome to join us.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old.

Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.

With the setting of the sun, and in the morning we will remember them.
