What you need to know:
IPS Fair - 25th Nov
What you need to know:
Before the Fair –
A lot needs to happen to make our Fair day as wonderful as it is!! Your Fair Committee and Class Reps have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to pull everything together. Now it’s your turn to do your bit – let your class rep know which times you can do on the day. If you can’t make it on the Saturday, we also need help setting up on the Friday. Your reps will give you all the information you need to help – as in what to do, where to go! If you haven't been contacted by your class rep, please speak to your teacher and ask to be connected. To sign up for set up or pack up help go to this link - https://signup.com/go/OWtJNGL. To sign up for the stalls – respond to your class reps messages or reach out on WhatsApp. This is the biggest fundraiser for our school community, and it is expected that all families assist in some way. If you have more than one child at the school, we only expect you to help on one of their stalls (of course you can do both if you want!). If your class has enough volunteers, there’s always other stalls that can use more help. All profits go towards improving the facilities and grounds for our children and purchasing playground equipment.
Fair Vouchers –
Shortly, a message will go out on Dojo and in the Newsletter with a link to pre-purchase Fair Vouchers. This is a booklet of $5, $2, and $1 vouchers. These can be used at all school-run stalls (except the Bar and Silent Auction), and for activities. Purchasing before the Fair will mean you get a discount (yay- free money!). They will also be available at the Fair at the Information stall located on the oval. Pre-purchased Fair Vouchers are to be collected at the Information stall on the day of the fair (we don’t send them home, so you won’t forget or lose them).
Stalls will also accept other payments (see below) – but Fair Vouchers are a great way to give the kids money to spend!
Silent Auction –
One of the big fundraisers for the fair is our Silent Auction. This starts as an online auction about 10 days before the fair. A link will be sent in the newsletter for you to look through and bid on the items available. You can bid online, up until about 4pm on the day of the Fair. The Class Art is also part of the auction – you’ll be able to bid on this online, and then in person on the Fair day. Your children have all been involved in making a piece of art in their classroom that you can bid on to own! They will be able to be seen online but also in person at the Fair. The auction items will include things such as restaurant vouchers, artwork, party vouchers, sports tickets, shopping vouchers, experiences, movie tickets, and more! You will find the items on display in the school hall at the fair.
Raffles will also be running on the day with lots of great prizes so make sure you pick up your tickets at the Information Stall, or at the Silent Auction tables.
Fair Day is sooo much fun!! There will be lots of activities for all ages, and lots of shopping at the stalls. There will be entertainment and lots of food options. Volunteering on your class stall will be one of your highlights – it’s so great seeing people enjoying the day!
Parking – if you are close enough to walk to school that will be your best option. Otherwise, it’s recommended to park at the library or at least a block away. Make sure you let your family and friends know too – because we know you have invited them along too!
Entry – Gates will be open on Ailsa Grove and Tate Street.
