God's Love and Care for All

Term 4, Week 4

Dear Parents/Carers,

The global theme of  World Teachers Day in 2023 recognises that the transformation of education begins with teachers. And this is exactly what we celebrated today Friday 27 October – the important role that our teachers play in our classrooms, in the school grounds and in our wider communities. Within the heart of every teacher is the aspiration to make a positive impact on the lives of young people, and that is something worth honouring, nurturing and celebrating.

While there is no doubt that being an educator and a leader in a Catholic school today is more complex and challenging than ever before, the rewards are equally as great – witnessing a student discover the joy of reading and writing, supporting a student to overcome their barriers to learning, or simply observing students develop the self-motivation and curiosity to explore the world around them. So let's take our hats off for the incredible job our staff are doing here at Our Lady's!

Not Returning to Our Lady's in 2024 -  We are in the process of preparing classes for next year. If you are not intending to return in 2024 could you please send an email to admin@olps.vic.edu.au.  All we require is the name of your school for 2024 so we can send the relevant transfer documentation.

Special thanks to Miss Elia, the social justice leaders, Mrs B, the Choir and the whole school community for their participation at our Monday whole school mission Liturgy. I especially enjoyed the rendition of the school song when the church was filled with everyone's beautiful singing voices!

Please check our School Community Calendar for all the important days and times for our end of year activities.  Looking forward to a most exciting time of the year as we count down to Christmas - only 58 more sleeps!

Looking forward to the extra long weekend next week

Take Care

Paul
