This week in Writing we are learning to write characters and settings for a narrative text. 

VOCABULARY

Narrative: A made up story. 

Sizzling start: An exciting beginning that grabs the reader's attention.

Characters: Who is in the narrative about.

Adjectives: A word that describes an animal, person or thing. 

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

With your child, write some sentences using adjectives when describing characters and settings. For example, The grumpy gorilla lived in a bright green jungle. 

Brainstorm some sentences with adjectives using the picture provided 

below.
