Excursions & Incursions

Pre-Primary's Day at Perth City Farm

On Wednesday 8 November, the Pre-Primary classes went on their FIRST excursion to Perth City Farm. What a day we had! We learnt so many amazing things about composting, soil, the importance of worms, recycling and growing seeds. The students got to visit a vegetable garden, feed the chickens, plant their own seedlings and take home their very own compostable pot. The friendly guides at Perth City Farm were very knowledgeable and explained things so well to us. All our students and staff had a FANTASTIC day! We encourage everyone to go and check out the awesome things happening at Perth City Farm.

Year 1s Visit to the WA Museum

The Year One students enjoyed a fun-filled day at the WA Museum. We excitedly walked around and were fascinated about all of the exhibits and we learnt so much from what we saw, touched and smelt!!!

Year 2s Visit to the WA Museum Boola Bardip

On Friday 3rd November, the Year 2 students ventured out to the WA Museum Boola Bardip. When students arrived, they joined a session on Noongar shared stories, which explored how stories are shared amongst Aboriginal peoples. Students learnt how to say a number or Noongar words and looked at a variety of tools and instruments that were used. After spending lunch in the sunshine, students split into groups and went to experience the wonders of the museum. From connecting to the past through fossils to Australia’s connections with the world. Year 2 had a blast at the museum!
