9-A-Side Football

In week 6 of term 3 Aberfoyle Park High School had two teams participate in the boys 9-a-side football carnival at Christies Beach High School. Both the year 7 team and year 8/9 team had a mix of wins and losses across the day. They played well as a team, adapted to the modified rules and ground size quickly, and represented the school proudly. 

Well done to all players who participated and to Mr O’Driscoll as year 7 coach and Mrs Bryant for her help coordinating the day.

AFL National Championships

Congratulations to Jacinda  for winning the AFL National Championships representing South Australia, where South Australia won a second successive undefeated campaign. South Australia was undefeated across three games, defeating Western Australia (35 points), Victoria Metro (58 points) and Queensland (20 points) to claim the national title. Well done Jacinda!

Congratulations to Benny Barrett for winning the 2023 SANFL U18 Premiership with South Adelaide Football Club. South Adelaide hung on to win the Premiership by two points at Adelaide Oval in a thrilling match. Final scores South: 10.11 (71) Sturt: 10.9 (69). Well done Benny!
