Citizenship Ceremony

In term 3, year 8 student Lucy gave a speech at a City of Onkaparinga Citizenship Ceremony. She gave an excellent speech welcoming new citizens to Australia and the Onkaparinga region.

Lucy said:  "As a 13-year-old year 8 student, I feel incredibly fortunate to have been given the opportunity to speak at this ceremony and connect with Ben Hood MP, Henry Olonga, City of Onkaparinga Mayor Moira Were, and Chris Picton MP. I feel so fortunate for the support and encouragement received from my teachers, friends and family. I encourage anyone who wants an amazing opportunity such as this, to get out into the community and get involved".
