Enrolments are open for free 3 and 4 year old sessional kindergarten.

Enrol through Casey Council for Hillsmeade Kindergarten.

Long Day Care enrolments with kindergarten is through the ELC office.

During this fortnight in the 3 and 4 year old kindergarten, the children have been undertaking learning in the following areas:

Reading	Introduced to picture story books through group times and book areas
Writing	Children beginning to recognise their photo and name through visuals Strengthening fine motor muscles through playdough
STEM	Explore ephemeral art through loose parts Engaging in colour sorting and colour mixing with primary colours Puzzles
Inquiry	Beginning to explore the Unit of Inquiry Healthy choices, Healthy me Families filled in About Me Profiles and returned these to be shared with the children Exploring different disguises and physical characteristics through dressing up Engaging in small world play through the use of the dolls house and different people figurines reflecting different nationalities and/or cultures
Social & emotional learning	Children have started to settle into their new kindergarten groups and have started to build connections with their peers and educators Children are beginning to develop an understanding of a predictable routine Children are beginning to explore the Zones of regulation
