Cafe News...

On Friday we hosted our final cafe for 2023. Our cafe was a Thai inspired flavour, following on the theme of 'Flavours of the world', throughout this term we have investigated cultures and lifestyles from around the world. Our learning task for this cafe was reflecting on our successful year in the cafe. Students thought about the ways in which they have grown in their learning and dispositions from being a part of the cafe learning program.

It was wonderful to see the cafe team working collaboratively and being agents of their learning by leading the cafe with minimal adult support. The cafe was fully booked with guests numbers nearing high thirties. Our menu was crispy, golden Thai fish cakes for entree and the main was a delicious Thai green chicken curry served with rice.

The cafe team, Matt, Kerry and I would like to thank all guests from throughout the year helping make the 2023 cafe year so successful. We would also like to thank our guests for supporting our online booking system initiative that we will look to continue for the future.

A huge thanks to Gab for the opportunity and allowing us to run the cafe program again for 2023, it has been a terrific success and allowed students to apply learning from a range of curriculum areas in a practical context.

Yours in partnership,

Luke Hewitt
