TERM 2, Week 6

Hello Prep Families,

Wednesday this week looked very different as we started our day with a GREAT performance from Alpha in a reimagined version of Cinderella. The students heard the message of Always Believe in Yourself. During the performance, students helped Cinderella to express her feelings by imagining something that they loved. They learnt that we could bring feelings from the past and future to the present by thinking of things that make them happy.

In the afternoon we enjoyed listening to the Grade 5 students read the voted national simultaneous storybook for 2024 ' Bowerbird Blues'. The students made their own version of the Bowerbird nest by colouring in objects, a bird and its nest then putting them together. On Thursday, the students then wrote a sentence about what they could see on the front cover of the book.

Reminders:

- We sent home the new green camera words, and the next lot of sounds students are learning in class. This sheet is for students to practice the words and sounds at home. Can you find any of these words in your readers?

- We have been counting to the students' 100th day of school. This will be reached in Term 3 and on the day, we will have a celebration. More information will be sent home closer to the date.

Have a lovely weekend.
