F-2 Cross Country

Congratulations to our Foundation, Year 1, and Year 2 students for their fantastic participation. Their determination and perseverance was wonderful to see. It's always inspiring to see our youngest students embracing physical activity with such joy. A huge shout out to Mrs Robinson for her coordination of the event, it ran flawlessly!

Thank you to all the families who attended to cheer on their children. Your support and encouragement made a significant difference, creating a positive and motivating atmosphere for all the participants.

Thank you to our dedicated staff for supporting the students throughout the event, ensuring they all had a safe and enjoyable experience.  Thank you also to our amazing Year 6 students who took on the roles of marshals and ran the course alongside the younger students. Their leadership and enthusiasm was invaluable, setting a wonderful example for the younger students to follow.

A special thank you to the All About Me Kindergarten for attending the event. It was so cute watching the kinder kids running with our Foundation students, fostering a sense of community and togetherness.

Once again, congratulations to everyone involved for making the F-2 Cross Country a memorable and successful event. Your participation and support reflect the true positive spirit of our school community.

Mothers, Grandmothers and Special Friends' Day

I would like to extend my thanks to everyone who attended our Mothers, Grandmothers and Special Friends' 'Afternoon Tea and Open Classrooms' event last Friday. It was wonderful to see so many of you join us and actively participate in this special occasion.

A big thank you to our wonderful teachers, who put in tremendous effort to organise engaging and fun activities for both students and visitors. We are also very grateful to the Parents Committee for providing a delicious afternoon tea. Additionally, a special shout-out to the dads who helped with the setup and pack-up – your support is invaluable and greatly appreciated.

Finally, a warm thank you to Team Kids for providing the coffee van, which was a delightful addition to our afternoon. Your contribution added an extra touch of warmth and community spirit to our gathering.

Celebrating our Success - Preliminary 2024 NAPLAN Data

I am excited to share that our preliminary 2024 NAPLAN data indicates another year of strong performance in both Year 3 and Year 5. This continued trend of excellence is a testament to the unwavering effort and dedication of our entire staff and families. The commitment to supporting the academic and well-being growth of all students is truly commendable. Although NAPLAN provides schools with an achievement snapshot, evidence indicates that these data sets reflect the academic success of schools.

Our collective cultural focus on providing a nurturing and intellectually stimulating environment has yielded impressive results once again. The positive outcomes we are seeing reflect the hard work, resilience, and collaboration of our teachers from F-6, support staff, and of course, our wonderful students and their families.

When available, I look forward to sharing some graphical data sets that will provide a visual representation of our achievements. These will highlight the areas where our students have excelled and offer insights into how our strategies and initiatives are driving success. For now,  I have again shared our 2023 data against state performance.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership in our educational journey. Together, we are continuing to make a significant difference in the lives of all students and setting a strong foundation for their future success.

Term 2 CEPS Community Working Bee

On Saturday 25 May, we will hold our Term 2 Working Bee from 9.00am-12.00pm. We would love to see as many families as possible to assist us with some of our routine maintenance. These jobs include but are not limited to, weeding, shovelling/raking mulch, painting, pruning, removing leaf clutter etc.

If you can attend, feel free to bring the following tools should you have them available.

  • Shovels/Spades
  • Wheelbarrows
  • Gardening gloves
  • Rakes
  • Buckets
  • Leaf blowers

In alignment with the Department of Education's OHS compliance, we will not be asking parents/carers to use power tools (outside of leaf blowers and qualified tradespeople).

Have a wonderful weekend,
