CAREERS AT KSC

Amidst the plethora of jobs Mrs Sorrell performs at our College (there are A LOT), she is also our Careers Practitioner! Last week was National Careers Week, and an opportunity for us to celebrate this important position. As the Careers Practitioner, Mrs Sorrell provides careers counselling and tertiary/vocational studies advice to our senior students, she assists students with subject selection and provides tertiary entrance advice and offers pathway plans to help students with decision making in regard to their future aspirations. She supports Year 11 & 12 students with VTAC applications, SEAS and post-Year 12 options in further education, training, and employment. She also coordinates the Morrisby Program for Year 9 students and the College Work Experience Program. It is a hugely varied job, but as usual she is organised, knowledgeable, and is exceptional at what she does! Thank you, Mrs Sorrell, for being a valuable and important member of the KSC staff.
