Around the Classrooms

Grade 3/4C

Last week the Year 3/4s were visited by Task Works and participated in an incursion relating to the Inquiry topic of ‘Energy is an Exciting and Engaging Adventure’. We thoroughly enjoyed the Incursion, learning about gravity, friction and magnetism. The students pulled apart Go Karts and a train, created a robot and made a magnetic marble run.

In Literacy, we have been writing creative narrative writing pieces. We have been experimenting with characters, settings, problems and solutions. We have been planning their narratives by organising their ideas into the orientation, complication and resolution.

In Maths, we have been collecting and analysing data as well as creating graphs to represent information they have tallied. We have asked one another questions to collect their data like: What is your favourite footy team? Which music genre is your favourite? or What is your favourite ice-cream flavour?

In Religion, the grade 4s have been preparing for their first Eucharist. 3/4C have been learning about the significance of Communion and how it is a symbol and celebration of Jesus sharing the Last Supper with his disciples.
