Student Wellbeing

PARENTS POPPIN’ IN

Have you popped in recently?  You are warmly invited to “pop in” to your child’s classroom every morning from 8.30-8.40am.  Look at what’s happening in the classroom, check out the anchor charts, ask your child to share their workbooks with you or just have a chat about what you see with your child.

One key action that parents can do to help their child to succeed at school is to have high expectations and consistently express belief in their child’s potential.

FAMILY ENGAGEMENT

We believe Family Engagement at OHR is a shared and continuous responsibility between our families and the School. This partnership actively reinforces learning and supports both student growth and wellbeing.

Engaging in your child’s learning involves conversations and working alongside each other to optimise learning outcomes. We recognise that families have a powerful place in children’s development and in collaborating together, meaningful learning is enhanced.

Thank you to the parents who were able to participate in our Coffee morning feedback session about Family Engagement.  We discussed the three questions below and all the ideas that came forward. This forum will be repeated at the SAC meeting on the 18th June. We will take into consideration the parent feedback when planning strategies for enhanced family engagement in student learning.

If you have any ideas you would like to add to this discussion, please email Lisa by 9,00am Wednesday June 12th.

Grow, Learn and Succeed

Our school motto promotes our Student wellbeing and we are working together to continually enhance this.  As a Catholic community our strategic intent over the next four years is as follows.

“ Our Holy Redeemer will strengthen expert teaching through professional learning around evidence based pedagogies.  In partnership, we will give voice to our students and families so the students will grow, learn and succeed.”

We all belong to the Our Holy Redeemer community.  Now, with the professional photos available, please take a moment to pop into the office area and find your child’s smiling face on our Welcome Tree.
