Year 8 Appropriated Artworks
In this learning task, year 8 students were asked to appropriate a famous artwork from their chosen art movement. This gave a chance to experiment with different applications of acrylic paint and techniques while developing their understanding on appropriating artwork. They were then evaluated on their finished artwork as well as their ability to follow an art making process which included brainstorming, research, sketching and annotation. This task was a great opportunity for students to apply their knowledge from the previous learning task: ‘Artists in History’.

Year 7 Visual Art
The Year 7 students were introduced to acrylic paint and asked to create an artwork that included a mask. The mask had to be incorporated with nature or a cityscape.
The students began this task by brainstorming and sketching ideas before they created an annotated draft. They were to create an original design that communicates an idea or meaning using the elements of art. Well done year 7.
