MATHS DAY at MALVERN PRIMARY
On the 15th of May, Malvern Primary School celebrated Maths Day. To start off the day some of the parents came into the classrooms and did maths activities with the students.
After recess the students went outside with their class to do activities set up by the Year 6’s. There were lots of fun activities, like Burger Throw, Rock, Paper, Scissors and Coin Soccer. Even though it might not seem like it, all the activities had maths in them.
For example in Coin Soccer students practised angles and basic addition at the same time. Maths Day was a way to make maths fun and enjoyable.
Now the students think that maths can be fun and that you do maths all the time.
