During Term One in Spanish, Foundation students will explore colours, numbers and greetings through song and actions. Students will practise how to greet others, farewell the teacher and respond in various ways to the question, “¿Como estás?” (How are you?)

 

Students will learn how to follow classroom directions in Spanish and will participated every week in choral use of Spanish and repeating teacher-modelled use of the target language. Students in Foundation will learn different songs to consolidate their learning of new vocabulary.

Year 1/2

During Term One in Spanish, students will expand on their vocabulary revisiting greetings, numbers and colours. Year 1/2 students will learn new vocabulary through song, role-play and craft in a unit about the weather “¿Como esta el dia hoy?"

 

Students will learn how to follow classroom directions in Spanish and will participated every week in choral use of Spanish and repeating teacher-modelled use of the target language. 

Year 3/4

During Term One in Spanish, Year 3/4 students will expand their vocabulary in Spanish through the topic Todo Sobre Mi (All About Me). Students will use prior knowledge and new vocabulary to introduce themselves and describe some of their favourite things.

 

Students will learn how to follow classroom directions in Spanish and will participated every week in choral use of Spanish and repeating teacher-modelled use of the target language. 

Year 5/6

During Term One in Spanish, Year 5/6 students will expand their vocabulary in Spanish through the topic Todo Sobre Mi (All About Me). Students will use prior knowledge and new vocabulary to introduce themselves and describe some of their favourite things. Students will create classroom displays, working on a poster about themselves .

 

Students will learn how to follow classroom directions in Spanish and will participated every week in choral use of Spanish and repeating teacher-modelled use of the target language.
