TRIAGE TRAFFIC LIGHT SYSTEM

This guide has been designed to assist and not deter staff from sending students to first aid but to ensure that those students requiring appropriate medical assistance are prioritized and receive adequate care quickly. 

These are helpful hints on how to address medical situations in the classroom/yard duty that do not warrant a visit to First Aid and times when a student should be sent to first aid without delay.

PROTOCOLS FOR CALLING AN AMBULANCE

After todays teacher anaphylaxis briefing it has been confirmed - For any emergency services, the address for Camberwell Primary School is 1 Reserve Road, Camberwell. The current 290 Camberwell Road, Camberwell address has been diverted due to building works.

• Any Junior Campus incidents, direct to 1 Reserve Road, Camberwell via Burke Road. Ambulance can enter the driveway on the church side.
• Any Senior Campus incidents direct to 1 Reserve Road, Camberwell via Camberwell Road. Ambulance can enter the emergency driveway, next to the BER Hall building.

First Aid Microwave - Senior Campus

Could Senior Campus staff please be aware that the microwave in the First Aid area is only to be used for First Aid purposes (i.e. warming heat packs etc). Please use the microwave in the BER kitchen to heat your food instead of the First Aid one.
