Dear CJC community,

Visit of the AEFE Regional Director

This week, I had the privilege of accompanying Guillaume Cario, our AEFE Regional Director (Agency for French Teaching Abroad), during his visit to the Label France accredited schools. Together, we visited Fitzroy Primary School and Glen Eira College, before concluding with a meeting with the French General Consul, Paule Ignatio.

Mr Chant and I are also preparing for the upcoming AAFEBS Conference in Canberra this November, which will mark the 10-year anniversary of AAFEBS – an exciting milestone for our network of bilingual schools in Australia.

Grade 3/4 Camp

Our Grade 3/4 camp was a wonderful success! Students enjoyed a wide range of activities, and it was fantastic to see their enthusiasm and teamwork. A big thank you to the 3/4 teachers who organised everything so well, to our parent volunteers for their precious support, and to Mr Chant for attending and sharing this memorable experience with the students.

Kansai Japanese Students

On Monday, we farewelled our Kansai Japanese exchange students. Their time with us had a very positive impact on our Year 3/4 students. A heartfelt thank you to the families who hosted them and contributed to this meaningful cultural exchange.

Welcome to our new FBP Teachers

• Virginie Brochu, our new FBP teacher, completed her first week. She told us how impressed she was by the empathy of both students and teachers, and how warmly she felt welcomed by our community.

   

• Céline Coquet, also joining our FBP team, had her visa approved last week and will officially start in Term 4.

•  

Both Ms Brochu and Ms Coquet will be working closely with our French Enrichment team, strengthening our bilingual program.

New Lunch Order Provider

I would like to remind you that lunch orders won't be available next week while we transition to our new supplier Tuckshop (Spriggy School App) will be delivering daily from the start of Term 4.

End of Term Updates

As we approach the end of Term, here’s what’s coming up next week:

• Footy Colours Day – Friday 19th

• Year 5/6 excursion: Mad About Science on Monday and Tuesday

Visite du Directeur Régional de l’AEFE

Cette semaine, j’ai eu le privilège d’accompagner Guillaume Cario, notre chef de secteur, zone Asie Pacifique, de l’AEFE (Agence pour l’Enseignement Français à l’Étranger), lors de sa visite des écoles labellisées FrancÉducation. Nous avons rendu visite à Fitzroy Primary School et Glen Eira College, avant de conclure par une rencontre avec la Consule Générale de France, Paule Ignatio.

Mr Chant et moi préparons également la prochaine conférence de l’AAFEBS à Canberra en novembre, qui célébrera les 10 ans de l’AAFEBS – une étape importante pour notre réseau d’écoles bilingues en Australie.

Classe verte de CE2-CM1

La classe verte de CE2-CM1 fut une grande réussite ! Les élèves ont participé avec enthousiasme à de nombreuses activités et ont montré un bel esprit d’équipe. Un grand merci aux enseignants de CE2-CM1 pour l’organisation, aux parents bénévoles pour leur précieux soutien, et à Mr Chant d’avoir partagé cette belle expérience avec les élèves.

Professeurs stagiaires japonais de Kansai

Lundi, nous avons dit au revoir à nos professeurs stagiaires japonais de Kansai. Leur présence a eu un impact très positif sur nos élèves de CE2-CM1. Un grand merci aux familles d’accueil qui ont rendu possible cet échange culturel enrichissant.

Enseignantes du programme français binational

Virginie Brochu, notre nouvelle enseignante FBP, a terminé sa première semaine. Elle nous a confié avoir été impressionnée par l’empathie des élèves et des enseignants, et s’est sentie chaleureusement accueillie par notre communauté.

Céline Coquet, également nouvelle enseignante du FBP, a obtenu son visa la semaine dernière et commencera officiellement au 4e trimestre.

Mme Brochu et Mme Coquet travailleront en étroite collaboration avec l’équipe du programme d’enrichissement en français, renforçant ainsi notre programme bilingue.

• Sortie scolaire des classes de CM2-CM1 : Mad About Science
