The JSC is excited to launch a new feature in our school newsletter — The Teacher Spotlight.

Every newsletter, two teachers will be interviewed by our JSC reps in order for the school community to learn about the awesome things our staff do both in and out of the classroom.

Ms Prudence Reynolds

Prep Teacher

 

What do you like most about being a teacher?

I like seeing kids grow and discovering a love of learning.

 

What is your favourite year level to teach? Why?

My favourite would be Prep because I like that I can introduce the students to what school is like. 

 

Where were you born?

I grew up in Tasmania Launceston in W.A

 

What is your favourite book or movie/TV show to watch?

Favourite book: Two brothers by Ben Elton

Favourite movie: Empire Records

 

What is a skill you would love to have that you don’t have already? 

I wanted to be able to play the guitar

 

What other schools have you taught at other than CSPS?

I only taught at other schools while I was at University. The schools were Malvern Central and Port Melbourne.

 

Which teacher have you known the longest?

Miss Malone is the teacher I have known the longest.

What is a skill you would love to have that you don’t have already? 

I wish that I could draw really well.

 

What other schools have you taught at other than CSPS?

I taught at Harvest Home Primary school in Epping and Eikestad Primary in Capetown.

 

Which teacher have you known the longest?

I have known Miss Silpert the longest.

 

Are you a neat or messy teacher?

I am a neat teacher.

 

If you could have any other job, what would it be?

I would love to be a chef or pastry baker.

 

What is a great primary school memory that you have?

In grade 3 i saw a nasa spaceship go up in space.

 

What is your favourite food?

My favourite food is anything Italian.

 

What inspired you to become a teacher?

My year 3 teacher teacher inspired me.
