Term 3 Allied Health

This term the Allied Health team have continued to work alongside Teachers and Education Support Officers to support student access and participation in the curriculum. Our Speech Pathologists, Kelly Brook and Jemma Dougan, have been actively supporting classes in the work of comprehensive literacy, communication and mealtime practices across the school. Some of the areas of focus for our Occupational Therapists, Tom Walker and Amber Lloyde, have included emotional regulation, transport support, environmental and care plan reviews. Our therapists have also been attending excursions with classes this term, supporting student transitions and engagement.

In Week 6 this term we also celebrated Speech Pathology week with the theme being ‘Impact through communication’. The contributions of our Speech Pathologists are invaluable and they play a vital role in supporting staff and empowering our students to access and engage with the curriculum.
