Inquiry Centre

Highlight
Selamat Siang,
It has a wonderful week of sunshine and fun in the Inquiry Centre. We started the week visiting our garden, connecting to our country. During our time in the garden, we used our 5 senses to listen, see, feel, taste and small to explore the wonderful elements of our garden. Students enjoyed this time to pause and reflect and then created a meaningful poem as part of their Guided Inquiry Calendar project.
In Maths, we continue to build our understanding of Multiplication and Division, exploring their communicative relationship by creating fact families. It has been great for students to consolidate their learning and have fun with times tables!
During the past weeks in Reading, we have been exploring the visual techniques of author Bob Graham. The students are experts at highlighting how Graham uses colour, tone and imagery to tell a story and we are now making text to text connections, noting how he uses these features in this books. Our text this week is a another wonderful example of imagery and colour and we recommend reading this book at home and chatting wit your child about these features.
We hope you have a lovely weekend and looking forward to our last week of Term starting with footy day on Monday. All sport are welcome!
