Together We Grow, Together We Glow!
This week, our school came together to recognise R U OK? Day, a special day that reminds us to check in with others, be kind, and ask, "Are you okay?" It's a simple question that can make a big difference.
Our day was filled with fun, meaningful activities that encouraged students to connect, reflect, and support one another – all while having a great time!
Students enjoyed cuddles, pats, and calming time with Gelu, our much-loved wellbeing dog. Gelu did a great job helping us all feel relaxed and happy.
Each student had the chance to paint a rock, adding their own creative touch with bright colours and positive messages. These special rocks will be placed under our scarecrow in the Wellbeing Garden, creating a beautiful reminder of our shared commitment to care for others.
We had our exciting wellbeing wheel out at lunchtime again today. Students spun the wheel to land on an activity that helped them feel good... from mindful breathing, telling jokes and mindful activities to fun acts of kindness. It was wonderful to see students across all year levels getting involved with big smiles.
A huge thank you to our Wellbeing Captains, who helped plan and support our R U OK? Day activities. Their leadership helped make R U OK? Day a meaningful and joyful experience for everyone.
Remember – R U OK? Day isn’t just one day a year. We can ask "Are you okay?" anytime we notice someone might need a friend. Listening, caring, and simply being there can make a big difference.
Let’s continue to build our kind and caring school community – every single day!
