LIBERAL ARTS SYMPOSIUM

On Tuesday 9th September I attended the Sydney Catholic Schools Liberal Arts Symposium. Guest speakers included Elizabeth Sullivan (Executive Director Institute for Catholic Liberal Education USA) and Peter Crawford (Dean, Institute for Catholic Education USA) who delivered keynotes around the understanding of a Liberal Arts approach to Catholic education.

The day provided a great opportunity for building awareness and insights into school approaches towards the integration of the Liberal Arts in Catholic Education.

CHESS CLUB

The St Aidan’s Chess Club is back and open to all students in Years 3-6. The Chess Club is dedicated to teaching students the rules of chess and helping them develop their skills through practice games, puzzle solving and friendly competitions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for students of all skill levels to build on critical thinking, strategic planning, and concentration, all while having fun.

SCS AMADEUS SHOWCASE CONCERT

On Tuesday 23 September, Francesca in Year 6 and many other students from other Sydney Catholic Schools will be showcasing their talents in a combined performance at St Vincent’s College, Ashfield. The invitation is open to everyone in the St Aidan’s community who would like to attend. Please find further details in the image below.
