Dear Parents,
This week I attended the Sydney Catholic Schools Principals' Spirituality Retreat. This special gathering offered a sacred opportunity for school leaders to step away from the business of daily life and reconnect with the deeper spiritual dimensions of our vocation.
The theme for this year’s retreat was Truth, Goodness, and Beauty - both timeless and transformative. These three pillars not only shape our faith but also guide our mission as educators in Catholic schools. Through prayer, reflection, and shared dialogue with fellow principals, I feel renewed in spirit and inspired in leadership.
Retreats such as this are moments of grace, spaces where we can pause, listen, and be open to the gentle promptings of the Holy Spirit. I look forward to returning with a heart refreshed and a renewed sense of purpose as we continue to nurture the faith, learning, and wellbeing of every child in our care.
Father’s Day is a special time to honour the dads, grandads, and father figures who support us and make us feel safe and loved. Last Friday, it was lovely having our fathers and carers join us for a coffee and a bacon and egg roll to start the day. Year One then paid a heartfelt tribute by singing a special song. The students were so excited to have their dads and other guests visit their classrooms to take part in a range of engaging activities with the students... there was laughter, creativity, and plenty of memorable moments shared. We’re so grateful to everyone who came along and helped make the day feel so special. Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful dads in our school community!
May this year be one of GOODNESS, TRUTH and BEAUTY.
Take care and God Bless.
Kind regards,
