Science at BPS
Term 4, Week 2
Welcome back for the final term of the year. I can hardly believe how fast the year has flown since I commenced working with our little scientists here at BPS. Term 4 is shaping up to be a fun way to round out the science curriculum with a focus on the physical science area (physics for short!). Year 5/6 will be focusing on the behaviour of light to start the term and our other year levels are looking at various ways that objects move (motion) and the forces that make this happen. Our F-2's have had fun making a human pinball machine this week and some tabletop minigolf. Forces in action! Rounding out the term we will investigate various sources of energy.
Assistance required: putting out a call for anyone with expertise in 3D printing to get in touch with me on tanya.stansfield@education.vic.gov.au as we have a 3D printer which we would like to get set up. Also, if you have any particular science expertise and would like to share that with the school community in some way, please also get in touch with me to see what options we can explore.
Stay curious!
