AN IMPORTANT REMINDER TO PARENTS/CARERS

PICK-UP ROUTINES - Sacred Heart Boggabri staff require either verbal or written notice from parents/carers if there are changes to your child's usual pick-up routines, especially if they are going to be collected by an adult that is not on your child's pick-up list e.g. when being picked-up for a birthday party, Kid's Club, OOSH, etc. If the changes are going to be ongoing, please let staff know about this when bringing the changes to our attention.

COMPASS EVENTS - A lot of time goes into preparing sporting events and excursions for Sacred Heart students. All events have a consent form attached so students are attending with their parents' permission. For organisational purposes, the consent forms have an expiry date which means parents/carers cannot complete the consent form after the expiry date. If your child's consent form has not been completed, they will be ineligible to attend the excursion/event. Please ensure you are keeping up-to-date with notes and permissions associated with Compass Events, as Sacred Heart staff will no longer be chasing parents outside of school hours to complete Consent Forms if the link has reached its expiry.  Members of the event (the parents/carers of the students going to the event) will continue to receive general reminders, but individualised messages to families who have not completed forms will cease. It is also helpful to ensure your notifications is turned on for the Compass App so that you receive alerts that are brought to your attention. If you have any questions regarding this procedure, please don't hesitate to call the school so we can discuss it with you further.

Small School Public Speaking

The annual Small Schools Public Speaking Competition will be held on Wednesday  6 September 2023. This year students from Boggabri Public School, Mullaley Public School and Curlewis Public School will join us on the day. A copy of the timetable will be sent out with a Compass feed. We are unable to give an approximate time that your child will perform, just starting times of each year group. Your child has been working on their speech at school, however if parents could practice with their child a home that would be very helpful.

A morning tea stall with Georgie Carrigan's coffee van will be available and we ask if parents could please bake for this stall. Monies raised will go toward the Year 6 End of Year Gift. We will require parent helpers on the day for the following: help on morning tea stall; marking names of speakers on the door list once they have spoken. If you are able to help in any way, please contact Miss Morrissey or Ms Traynor in the office.

Term 3 School Fees

Just a friendly reminder that Term 3 School Fees were due last Thursday. Payment of school fees is essential to the financial viability of our school. If you haven't yet made payment, please do so at your earliest convenience.

Yr 2-6 Dubbo ZooSnooz Excursion

The Dubbo ZooSnooz Excursion is fast approaching and parents are reminded that the balance of $87 per student is due by this Wednesday 30 August.  Unfortunately Compass does not distinguish between school fees and excursion balance therefore parents will only see one total. We are aware of this and will be applying the $87 to your excursion account. If you have any issues or concerns please make contact with Ms Traynor in the office.

The final note has been sent home today in paper form. This note includes arrival and departure times, what to bring on the excursion and an itinerary. Please contact Mrs Fenton, Mrs Goddard or Ms Traynor is you have any questions regarding the excursion.
